About

I've been scribbling on paper ever since I was old enough to hold a pencil (or a crayon, or a marker, or whatever else I could get my hands on that would put lines on paper). I filled dozens of sketchbooks and massive binders each filled with hundreds upon hundreds of loose drawings. That's not even including all the drawings I made on the back of my homework, in my school notes, all throughout the margins of my notebooks....and I'm talking from grade school right up through college! Needless to say, I draw....a LOT.

In my youth, a lot of my inspiration came, of course, from anime. The bright colours, big eyes, and big hair really drew my attention. As a child I was largely self-taught, though I had amassed an impressive collection of those “how to draw” books. As an adult I graduated from both Illustration & Concept Art and Professional Writing with the goal of doing webcomics. After working on Olive the Other Reindeer, a passion for illustrating children's books was awakened.

Over time, my tastes and style have changed drastically. I enjoy working in several different styles ranging from simplified semi-realism to cute chunky cartoons. It's difficult for me to stay with one single style of drawing when I love so many different styles of art. Regardless of what or how I draw, I couldn't be happier to share my work with you.
